The Sourcing Playbook – autumn webinar series

The Government publication The Sourcing Playbook outlines key policies and guidance for making sourcing decisions for the delivery of public services. It is designed as a tool for the public sector, to help improve commercial decision-making and the quality of contracts placed.

Local Partnerships, working in conjunction with the Local Government Association, the Cabinet Office and the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), has developed a series of webinars designed specifically to help the local government community better understand The Sourcing Playbook and maximise its value, particularly in the light of current challenges such as inflationary pressures.

These webinars are designed for council-only individuals who may wish to attend all the sessions or just some.

The webinars will take place on Tuesdays (from 12.30pm to 2.00pm) until 6 December 2022, covering the following topics:

LGA National Construction Conference

Working with the construction industry, councils are best positioned to lead place-based approaches to hit net zero targets, lead on local green growth and use procurement good practice to tackle spiralling inflation, resource scarcity, sustainability issues and a move to modern methods of construction and digitalisation. Now in its tenth year, our National Construction Conference is returning with two in-person events in:

Speakers from local government, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Cabinet Office and industry will look at how the combination of climate change, a cost of living crisis and global political instability continues to impact the UK construction industry and councils’ delivery of construction projects.
