“What do we want our cities to be, and how do we get there?”
The Government’s recent Levelling Up White Paper sets the ambition for every area of the UK to have a globally competitive city by 2030. But in a world changed by the covid-19 pandemic, and where cities are grappling with the transition to net-zero, demographic challenges and inequality, the question of what a successful, globally competitive city of the future looks like is more complex than ever.
